Featured Projects
Selected work
Live products and tools, with the code and the numbers behind them.
comprehendo
Reading practice in 15 languages. Generated items are gated by a documented item-writing standard - passage-dependency validity, distractor trap types, lexical coverage - then by automated answer-key and multi-trait quality checks that fail closed. Live, in soft launch with real learners.
talata
AI essay scoring and feedback, free and non-commercial. A fine-tuned DeBERTa-v3 scorer returns four trait bands plus an overall estimate at held-out QWK 0.76 / MAE 0.63, with tail-preserving isotonic calibration and two grammar-correction models, served scale-to-zero on Modal. A commercially clean holistic checkpoint stays tested as the switch back, and the evaluation behind both is written up at tre.systems/evaluation.
cefr-workshop
A seven-part workshop teaching engineers to fine-tune DeBERTa-v3 for CEFR level prediction on serverless GPUs, from problem framing through to deployment. MAE 0.375, QWK 0.776, 99.6% adjacent accuracy.
Office Assistant
An MCP server for managing Microsoft 365 calendars in plain English - check availability, book rooms, schedule across people. Python on Microsoft Graph with delegated access.
Everything else
Experiments, games and generative work - where most of the learning happens.
antenna
A self-hosted personal signal layer for people and agents, built on Cloudflare Workers, Preact, and MCP.
cepheus
A solo and co-op sci-fi tactical RPG that teaches the Cepheus Engine by playing it - character creation, campaigns, tactical combat, 3D dice, and real-time multiplayer.
confluon
Confluon: a deterministic energy-driven audiovisual instrument
delta-v
Turn-based multiplayer space combat with persistent vector physics, orbital mechanics, and optional AI players through a machine-native API and MCP.
empiricalrecords
Independent archive of experimental electronic music - generative canvas art, audio-reactive visuals, custom audio player
evo
Browser artificial-life: thousands of gene-carrying creatures evolve by natural selection - speciating into distinct colours and body plans, hunting, and riding boom/bust cycles. Rust → multithreaded WASM, rendered with WebGPU.
galacto
A GPU-accelerated, self-gravitating N-body galaxy sandbox in the browser - spiral disks, galaxy mergers, and dark-matter halos, with a generative soundscape. Built with Rust, WebAssembly, and WebGPU.
geno-1
Generative Music Visualizer. Real-time microtonal audio synthesis and 3D visualization powered by Rust, WebAudio & WebGPU.
geno-2
Ambient generative audiovisual instrument built with Rust, WebAssembly, WebGPU, and WebAudio
planeo
Autonomous Agent Playground. Multi-agent simulation where Vision-Language Models interact in a shared React Three Fiber 3D world.
planeto
Multiplayer physics sandbox in space. Procedural planetoid clusters synchronized via SSE in a React Three Fiber + Rapier world.
pongo
Real-time multiplayer Pong on the edge. Built with Rust + WebAssembly, Cloudflare Durable Objects, and WebGPU. Featuring a shared deterministic game core and client-side prediction.
rgou-cloudflare
Offline-first Royal Game of Ur with search, self-play ML, and solved-game-distilled Oracle AI in React, Rust/WASM, and Cloudflare Workers.
rowspire
Open-source browser strategy game with tactical-search and neural-network AI, built with React, Rust/WASM, Vite, and Cloudflare.
royal-game-of-ur-cli
Terminal-based Royal Game of Ur. State-machine core with pluggable AI agents (Minimax, MCTS), built in Clojure & NBB.
speako
Privacy-first speaking coach. Real-time grammar and fluency analysis running 100% in-browser via WebAssembly & Whisper.
